After 20 Years On Stage Using Makeup, Christina Aguilera Has Finally Joined "No Makeup Look" Trend And You Can’t Recognize Her
Christina Aguilera has been famous for a long time, but it turns out that we have never actually seen her face before.
The new trend of makeup that took over the internet recently consists of two types of looks: the natural makeup look and the no makeup look. The natural makeup look is when you put that kind of makeup that makes you look natural while no makeup look is wearing no makeup at all.
Some celebrities embraced natural makeup look while other embrace no makeup look. The last category are challenging the standard notions of beauty by showing themselves in front of cameras with no makeup. Many of them including Alicia Keys, Chrissy Teigen, Lady Gaga, and Heidi Klum have endorsed the "no makeup look" trend and posted a lot of photos on Instagram, ditching their glamorous looks for a softer approach.
Christina Aguilera has joined recently this trend and shoot pictures with “no makeup look” and guess what!! She looks stunning and beautiful. Demi Lovato was among stars who took this kind of pictures. She did a revealing video for Vogue, and Aguilera stripped bare for the cover of Paper Magazine. In a series of close-up shots, entitled Transformation, we see that Christina Aguilera is wearing no makeup! Actually the pictures have shown that she has freckles, but beneath that beautiful skin, she looks more beautiful, softer, and younger. Many commenters state that she looks even better!
“I’ve always been someone that obviously loves to experiment, loves theatrics, loves to create a story-line and play a character in a video or through stage,” Aguilera stated in an interview with Paper Magazine. “I’m a performer, that’s who I am by nature. But I’m at the place, even musically, where it’s a liberating feeling to be able to strip it all back and appreciate who you are and your raw beauty.” She added, "I mean, I'm a girl that likes a beat face, let's not get it twisted," she laughs.
Regardless of the natural look of Christina on the pictures, some people expressed skepticism with the ‘bare’ trend. Pointing out that she is wearing no makeup makeup; a kind of makeup that makes stars look as if they are wearing no makeup. Therefore, not everybody is convinced that these pampered celebrities going ‘natural’ does anything to inspire or empower other women to do the same. It is just a new standard of barely attainable beauty to aspire to.
Whatever you think about Christina, you have to admit that she certainly looks natural and beautiful. This natural look endorses her natural beauty and it is amazing to discover a whole new side of her.
