Model Turns To Twitter To Be First Trans Model Of Color To Walk on Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Runway

Victoria's secret fashion shows have always known impressing events; however, throughout history, its fashion shows have never marked the presence of a trance gender. It seems that Leyna Bloom wants to re-write the history of fashion industry as she want to be the first "trans-woman of color" to walk on the runway of Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Leyna Bloom is a gorgeous Indian model. She has been professionally modeling since 2014, participating in many runway shows and making the history of fashion. She was featured in Vogue’s cover of India last year.

Aspiring to take her modeling portfolio to the next level, she wishes to be the first trans-woman model that takes part of victoria's secret fashion show and walk on its runway. Therefore, she started a social media campaign on twiter that has gone crazy and knew a remarkable engagement by users.

“Trying to be the 1st Trans model of color walk a #VictoriaSecret Fashion show. #transisbeautiful #LeynaBloom,” Bloom tweeted earlier and the tweet took off like wildfire; it currently has over 32,000 retweets and 106 000 likes. Bloom posted wearing a black Bikini and people throughout the world supported her. She told Yahoo Lifestyle that Victoria’s Secret was her “dream” company to work with. “It’s always been a dream for me, like so many others, not just trans — POC, all women, and some men even,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle. “This is a platform that glorifies femininity. I always felt in my most natural state I am heavenly. For my trans sisters, regardless of color, this will be a moment for us all.”

The history of fashion is based on the traditional definition of gender; however, Bloom aspires to change that. She sees that as a shortcoming in the fashion industry. Victoria's Secret is not an exception. Although it has worked hard recently to improve diversity among its models, it is still routinely excoriated for things like "cultural appropriation." The company hasn't yet succumbed to more "modern" notions of gender, inclining to enfold women who were, at one time, not women.

Bloom says she aims to change that.
"All these women of color in the VS fashion show that's amazing right," Bloom tweeted. "But they still have way more white girls. It's like every time they added a woman of color they added another white girl. Next year they need to cast trans and curve models all colors not just Caucasians."
